Tuition Reimbursement & Industry Training


Security Benefit offers tuition reimbursement and industry training for employees who desire to further their education in an area of study related to their current position.


Full-time and part-time (working at least 20 hours a week) associates with one year of service are eligible to participate in Security Benefit's Tuition Reimbursement program. Managers may require that an associate completes two prerequisite courses, as beneficial to the associate's understanding of the industry and his/her job.


This program reimburses associates for tuition at accredited colleges or universities for job-related courses or courses related to a degree program appropriate to a position at Security Benefit. The cost of required textbooks and/or fees for an eligible course may also be reimbursed.  The maximum amount of reimbursement is $3,000 in any calendar year. The rate of reimbursement is based on the grade received. A and B = 100%, C or "passing" = 75%. There is no reimbursement for grades below a 'C'.
